HISTORY OF GUNAY BANK
"GUNAY BANK" Joint Stock Bank was duly registered by the National bank of Azerbaijan Republic on April 30th, 1992, and is now performing all existing transactions and providing full banking services to individuals and institutions. Establishing correspondent relations with the world's leading banks, "GUNAY BANK" associated with the International Banking System.
- 30.04.92 - Gunay Bank was granted the National Bank's banking license #48.
- 24.07.92 - Gunay Bank received the National Bank's license #9 for international transactions, currency and credit operations.
- 04.09.92 - Gunay Bank established "Gunay Anadolu" insurance company in cooperation with Turkish insurance company "Anadolu".
- 23.11.92 - Gunay Bank was registered under #23 in a new register of banks.
- 02.04.93 - The Board of "Gunay JSB" decided to establish "Gunay" newspaper.
- 23.09.93 - Gunay Bank was enrolled at United Register of Joint-Stock Companies at Ministry of Finance.
- 29.10.93 - The Bank's Board decided to help 100 refugee families with one time aid equal to 100,000,000 rubles and monthly provisions at 50,000 rubles.
- 25.07.94 - Gunay Bank opens a branch in Sheki.
- 21.09.94 - Establishment of Gunay IMS.
- 01.09.96 - New office opened at 4/6 Rasul Rza Street.
- 07.10.98 - Gunay Equestrian Sports Club was established.
- 22.01.99 - The board decided to sell stocks to public.
- 02.04.99 - Re-registration at Ministry of Finance as a public joint-stock bank with foreign capital share.
- 25.07.00 - Gunay Leasing Ltd. was established.
- 24.06.02 - The 8-th publication of bank stock emission has been registered at SSC.

- 01.02.05 - The bank joined MIGOM online money transfer system.
- 17.07.05 - The 12-th publication of bank emission has been registered at SSC.
- 24.05.06 - The 13-th publication of bank emission has been registered at SSC.
- 05.02.07 - The Bank's headquarter moved to the new building situated at Zergerpalan st, 5/4,87, Baku.
- 10.03.07 - AZERCELL, BAKCELL and AZERFON payment receiving point has been opened at bank's head office.
